Any recommendations as to where I should get it?

Yeah, but I do trust those guts with my payment info.  Are they going to carry Gungfly?

Yes they are, I'm sending 'em over soon. CDBaby.com will have the Gungfly album as well, which in turn means that a whole lot of places will carry it including the digital distribution places such as Itunes (for those of you that don't like physical media anymore)! I'll probably end up putting all none-insideout-releases on cdbaby actually, sooner or later...

Cheers - Rikard

that's great about Gungfly, but I don't think I'm going to wait for the Cyklo.  I usually don't buy actual CDs, but in this case, but this material is too good for me not to make an exception.

That's awesome.  Do you get a bigger slice of the profits off of digital media?

Re: Time to pick up a copy of Cyklonmannen

it depends, but of course there's no cd manufacturing costs so depending on what one charges per song, yes - or no... uhm... I'm not sure yet!

I love CD's though and I won't stop printing the albums......... there's a very good (IMO) third Bootcut album finished as well, which we recorded back in 2005 with the working title "The Lumber Baron Suite"! We never released it back then (coz we released "De Fluff" which was recorded the year before) and I've been feeling lately that it's a crying shame coz there is some kickass material on there, probably some of our best work - Petter plays like a drumstick-equipped golden god.... and I do ok too wink

Does this mean you'll be releasing A THIRD album across your various bands this year? yikes

I suppose it's the *literal* price you pay for having this complete independence, isn't it? So, I've been wondering, do any of the other members of Beardfish have any projects that have been released/are going to be released soon? I've never heard of any. Though, to be fair I only heard of Bootcut when I started reading this forum tongue

It depends on what kind of music you're interested in... Robert has various stuff including a very good rock 'n roll band called DeDam
( myspace.com/dedamrnr ) and David plays with a hardcore band called Meleeh ( myspace.com/meleeh )

And Magnus currently has a Playstation 2 with Tony Hawk Underground big_smile

Re: Time to pick up a copy of Cyklonmannen

I'm not a fan of hardcore, but DeDam sounded pretty cool. I'm mostly interested in various different types of prog and fusion. Simply saying "I like prog" would be too vague, and I feel like trying to explain why I like certain things would be difficult. Let's just say I think Beardfish and Van Der Graaf Generator go really well back-to-back tongue

And tell Magnus to check out Twisted Metal: Black if he doesn't already have it!

Re: Time to pick up a copy of Cyklonmannen

I got my copy of Cyklonmannen from one of those guys with a table at ProgDay last year. smile I just said "I like Beardfish" and they were like "Get Rikard's other project" so at least the guys out there selling cds know what to tell people!

I really like DeDam! I too have a hard time with hardcore. I mean I want to like it but I am too excited about melodic singing. Yet metal growling, sometimes I like. It's complicated.

Re: Time to pick up a copy of Cyklonmannen

Hardcore vocals, while similar to metal growls, aren't quite the same thing. Growls seem to be just that, growls, while hardcore shrieks seem to me to be an excuse to hurt one's vocal chords, and nothing more...
