IMPERIAL CROWNS (usa)
Dirigé par le charismatique Jimmie Wood (vocals, harp, guitar) accompagné de J.J. Holiday (vocals & slide guitar) et de Billy Champagne Sullivan (drums), les membres de cette formation - sans doute l’une des plus originales de la planète - ont concocté un cocktail musical très personnel, qu’ils décrivent comme un "mix de Blues féroce, de Psyche-Delta soul et de Pumping-Funk". Certains les ont d’ailleurs accusés de ressusciter rien moins que les esprits combinés d’Otis Redding, de Captain Beefhart et de Blind Lemon Jefferson ?
