Re: GUNGFLY - Rikard Sjöblom's solo project

Rikard (or any other Swedes for that matter...) - excuse my ignorance but what exactly *is* a Gungfly anyway?

Re: GUNGFLY - Rikard Sjöblom's solo project

Gungfly is a swedish word meaning unsecure ground, hag or quagmire. It's often used as a metaphore for a poorly presented theory or opinion.

(This is taken from the booklet big_smile)

Thanks for the explanation - looking forward to hearing it soon!  Of course, it'll have to wrestle for listening time with the new Beardfish release!  ;-)

Re: GUNGFLY - Rikard Sjöblom's solo project

Are you kidding me?  I figured, OK - "Please Be Quiet", as in these are the love songs and ballads that I can't get through with the rest of Beardfish.  You know, i just shelled out for a 'Destined Solitaire' and now Rikard is trying to 'strike while the iron is hot' and sell me more stuff.  Whatever.

Then he had to go and post that little tune.  Nice little song.  Relaxing.  Something you could eat dinner to, right?  HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE CRANK OUT SUCH INTENSE SH*#T LIKE IT WAS NOTHING???  IT'S NOT FAIR!!  So I say again, Are you kidding me?  Oh yeah, I like the cover too.

This is turning out to be a pretty decent year for music.

Re: GUNGFLY - Rikard Sjöblom's solo project

Thanks! But hey mpomy, it has a couple of ballads as well, haha! Mostly it's sort of 60's rock/pop with a psychedelic twist to it big_smile
