Bien que Sonny Landreth soit un guitariste extrêmement compétent dans le jeu dit "conventionnel", il est surtout connu pour son jeu de guitare « slide ». Il a développé une technique dans laquelle il joue des notes de façon conventionnelle, ainsi que des accords ou des parties d accords en arrière du bottleneck pendant qu’il joue. UNIQUE !

This Southwest Louisiana-based guitarist, songwriter, and singer  is a musician's musician. The blues slide guitar playing found on his two Zoo Entertainment releases, Outward Bound (1992) and South of I-10 (1995) is distinctive and unlike anything else you've ever heard. His unorthodox guitar style comes from the manner in which he simultaneously plays slide and makes fingering movements on the fretboard. Landreth, who has an easygoing personality, can play it all, like any good session musician. His distinctive guitar playing can be heard on recordings by John Hiatt, Leslie West and Mountain, and other Rock & Rollers   All Music

Fast rising blues rock guitarist Ryan McGarvey, winner of the 2010 Ernie Ball Crossroads Guitar Festival Contest will be making his first ever European appearances beginning June  in  Holland. The dates will continue with shows in Germany and Belgium. The 24 year old has been wowing crowds throughout the Southwest the past several years due to his jaw dropping live performances which reflect a deep senses of blues tradition melded with pure rock power. In 2010, despite entering late he beat out over 4500 hopefuls as he was chosen as the winner of Ernie Ball’s ‘Play Crossroads’ contest, allowing him to perform what was an extremely well received set June 26th at Eric Clapton’s 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Toyota Park at Bridgeview, Illinois.

ANIMA MUNDI est un groupe de sympho prog rock qui nous vient de La Havane à Cuba. Fondé en 1996 par quelques amis du conservatoire, ce groupe a connu quelques changements pour faire face à l’opinion de ceux qui ne comprennent pas les personnes un peu différents, qui arrivent encore à vivre dans le monde du rêve. Après un travail acharné et beaucoup de petits boulots pour survivre, ils sortent enfin leur premier album en 2001 et en Espagnol, « Septentrion », qui les a confortés dans leur volonté de vivre le rêve. La virtuosité de leur musique trouve son fondement précisément dans leur fragilité et leur magie. Cette magie prend de la puissance avec la sortie de « Jagannath Orbit » (2008) en Anglais et sous le label Muséa Records. Ils sont inventifs, ils ont des contes de la vraie vie à nous faire vivre et la musique pour exprimer leurs rêves. Ils donnent quelques concerts dans des festivals locaux et travaillent quasi tous dans le domaine de la musique car les rêves ne nourrissent pas encore une famille. Néanmoins les affaires culturelles cubaines leur reconnaissent une bonne expérience.

En 2010 arrive enfin un album qui commence à être reconnu au niveau international. Toujours sous le label Muséa, les ventes de « The Way » se font nettement confidentielles. Unanimement salué par plusieurs pays européens ainsi qu’aux Etats Unis, ce troisième album assure une véritable motivation pour ce groupe qui a connu vents et marées au pays du Havane. Ils sont cinq et viennent pour la première fois en Europe : Virginia PERAZA  claviers  * Roberto DIAZ guitare  * Carlos SOSA  chant * Yaroski CORREDERA  basse * Manuel GOVIN  batterie.

Ce n’est pas tous les jours qu’un groupe cubain a l’occasion de venir faire un petit tour en Europe. Ils méritent qu’on fasse leur connaissance !





Anima Mundi is a Cuban sympho prog rock band. Founded in 1996 by some friends of conservatory of music, this band knew some changes to deal with the opinion which those who don’t understand people with differences, who still arrive at living in the world of the dream. After a keen work and many odd jobs to survive, they released finally their first album in 2001, in Spanish, “Septentrion”, which consolidated them in their will to live the dream. The virtuosity of their music precisely finds his base in their brittleness and their magic. This magic takes power with the exit of “Jagannath Orbit” (2008) in English and under the label of Musea Records. They are inventive, they have tales of true life to make us live and the music to express their dreams. They give some concerts in the local festivals and work nearly all in the field of the music because dreams didn’t feed a family yet. Nevertheless, the Cuban cultural affairs recognize a good experiment to them.

In 2010, finally, an album arrives which starts to be recognized with the international level. Always under the Label Musea, the sales of “The Way” are done definitely less confidential. Unanimously greeted by several European countries thus in the States, this third album ensures a true motivation for this group which knew winds and tides with the country of the Havana. They are five and come for the first time in Europe.
