Martin Levac est reconnu comme le meilleur  « interprète «  de Phil Collins au monde, tant au niveau de la ressemblance vocale et physique que par son jeu à la batterie. Et le spectacle est une véritable reconstitution des spectacles originaux de Genesis, tant du côté de la musique que des éclairages ou des costumes. Pour pousser la ressemblance encore plus loin, Martin Levac s’est même mis à jouer de la batterie comme un gaucher: «C’était nécessaire pour approfondir l’approche visuelle, nous souhaitons reproduire la même scène… et une batterie de droitier ne ressemble pas à une batterie de gaucher!»

Cette minutie n’empêche pas non plus le musicien et chanteur québécois de mettre son grain de sel: «Ce que le public apprécie dans nos spectacles, c’est ce qu’il peut reconnaître des spectacles de Genesis. Mais cela reste notre show alors dans notre interaction avec le public, je reste aussi un peu moi-même.»

Lorsqu’il jouait dans le groupe The Musical Box le rôle de Phil Collins dans une autre restitution du groupe Genesis, Martin Levac a eu l’occasion de rencontrer son idole… et de recevoir sa «bénédiction» pour continuer l’aventure. «Il trouvait bizarre que quelqu’un souhaite reproduire chacune de ses mimiques ou de ses intonations vocales. Mais il était également ému et flatté et m’a félicité pour mon travail.»

Martin Levac (internationaal erkend als de beste Phil Collins imitator ter wereld) zal begin 2010 voor het eerst door Europa touren om zijn nieuwe show “Dance into the Light: The Ultimate Phil Collins Show” te presenteren: een tribute aan de legendarische drummer en zanger Phil Collins.

Samen met een band van 7 briljante musici zal de voormalige drummer van The Musical Box het grootste deel van de solo hits van Collins op het podium brengen. De show zal onder andere bestaan uit klassiekers als ‘In The Air Tonight’, ‘One More Night’, ‘Easy Lover’, ‘Another Day In Paradise’, ‘Sussudio’ en ‘Dance Into The Light’.



De overeenkomsten tussen Phil Collins en Martin Levac zijn verbluffend: het uiterlijk, de stem, de mimiek en zelfs de linkshandige drumstijl zijn vrijwel identiek .Het grote verschil tussen Martin Levac en Phil Collins is dat Levac dit jaar een uitgebreide tour door Europa doet en Collins niet.

Known internationally as the best Phil Collins impersonator, there is, Canadian drummer and singer Martin Levac will tour Europe in early 2010 to present his new show “Dance into the Light: The Ultimate Phil Collins Show”, a tribute to the great progressive rock and pop music singer Phil Collins. With seven brilliant musicians supported by an experienced technical team, the former drummer of The Musical Box and singer of Dance on a Volcano will be performing most of Collins’ greatest hits on stage. The show will include classics such as “One More Night”, “In the Air Tonight”, “Easy Lover”, “Another Day in Paradise” and “Dance Into the Light”.

Formally the drummer of ‘The Musical Box’, a recreation of ‘Genesis’ (who have performed at some of the most prestigious halls in Europe, including the Royal Albert Hall, London and the Olympia, Paris) and the leader of the group ‘Dance on a Volcano’, a band which also covers songs from the mythical band, Martin Levac is known worldwide as the best Phil Collins impersonator there is. He and his band have been acclaimed by demanding fans around the world for their performances in ‘Dance into the Light: The Ultimate Phil Collins Show’.

Phil Collins himself has acknowledged the talent and the meticulousness of Martin Levac, - who, as a teenager, started to play drums left-handed to better match his idol - when they shared the stage in Geneva in 2005
