Legendary drummer Simon Phillips has recorded and toured with iconic figures including Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Al Di Meola, Jan Hammer, Stanley Clarke, The Who, Steve Lukather, Michael Schenker, Toto, Hiromi and many others. Protocol V is a widely acclaimed jazz-rock vehicle for Simon’s own compositions.

Considéré comme l'équivalent Européen du John Butler Trio, ils sont la synthèse entre le blues élémentaire de Skip James, le gospel vif de Blind Willie Johnson, la guitare dévastatrice de Jimi Hendrix, la maîtrise de la slide guitare de Ry Cooder et la sublime écriture de Bob Dylan et Richard Thompson.
