Skinny Molly was started by Mike Estes of Lynyrd Skynyrd with Dave Hlubek of Molly Hatchet, and Kurt Pietro. (Dave, Kurt and Mike also played together in Mike's band Brave New South previous to Skinny Molly) Dave has since gone back to Molly Hatchet, (Nowadays, Chris Walker plays guitar, and Luke Bradshaw plays bass…..

Je me suis pris tellement de gamelles a vouloir présenter de très bons groupes pas encore très connus et où on s’est retrouvé avec très peu monde dans la salle et un excellent groupe sur scène. Forcément, j’ai du commencer à lever pied sur ce genre d’exercices trop risqués.  Mais, quand même, avec le temps, on a quand même la satisfaction d’avoir pu faire de belles choses avec des groupes comme American Dog, Koritni, The Perpetrators ou The Brew…. Et bien mes P’tits Loups je pense que VDELLI va un jour faire partie de cette Top liste, sinon je ne m’y risquerais pas.  Ce gars là, c’est de la DYNAMITE à l’état pur. Australien pur jus, rock a 100% ça dégomme, croyez moi.

Faites moi confiance vous ne serez pas déçus ! Chiche ?    Francis / Spirit of 66



P.S. : C’est un peu frustrant, faute de choix dans les dates,  de devoir présenter deux aussi bons groupes juste un jour après l’autre …. forcément, ça divise !  Je dois dire que j’aurais difficile de faire un choix entre les 2. Ben alors, y a plus qu’une solution : voir les 2 !!!! Vendu ?

Barry Mc Cabe comes from Ireland but has travelled all over the world to bring his music to the people. He has been working extensively on the European mainland over the past ten years, he has toured in the US and also in such far away lands as Egypt! We saw him some years ago in his ALBATROS project



Originaire d'Irlande, fan de Rory Gallagher, Barry McCabe joue du Blues mêlé de musique traditionnelle Irlandaise. Un mariage très audacieux qui donne au final une musique unique en son genre.  On l’a déjà vu chez nous en leader de ALBATROS, ensuite de The BMC Band, il évolue maintenant sous son propre nom mais la musique est toujours aussi bonne.  Chacun de ses concerts est un vrai régal avec un savant mélange de Blues sensible et de Rock énergique saupoudrés d’épices très agréables qui mettent en évidence ses origines irlandaises.  Difficile de faire mieux. A VOIR !

Quoi qu'il fasse, le nom de Kee Marcello restera associé à celui d'EUROPE. Il avait rejoint le groupe en 1986 après le départ de John Norum et participé à l'écriture de deux albums "Out Of This World" en 1988 et "Prisoners In Paradise" en 1991. Ce dernier est d'ailleurs considéré par beaucoup comme le meilleur album des suédois. Toujours est-il qu'après le split d'EUROPE en 1992, Kee Marcello poursuit une carrière solo des plus  intéressantes



Kee Marcello  started his professional career in Stockholm, Sweden, in the early 80s by playing the guitar as a hired gun for bands like rockers Kee & The Kick and Swedish glam/punk-wonder Noice.
Together with Noice bass player Alex Tyrone he started writing songs with a new project in mind. When they eventually teamed up with Zinny San, Danny Wilde and Freddie Von Gerber they formed EASY ACTION in 1983. EA was the first Swedish hard rock act to sign a recording deal directly with a US Major label. In 1984 record industry legend Seymour Stein from SIRE Records (Warner Bros) signed them and their first, self titled album was released world wide. in 1986 Kee left EA to join Europe to sell in excess of 10 million albums and do 3 world tours, something that would give him a reputation as one of the best guitar players in the world. in 1992 Europe decided to go separate ways and since then Kee has released 2 solo albums and has been performing, producing and playing on numerous albums. Kee is currently back with Easy Action, and is writing for a new solo album in his own studio; GEM Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Tony Levin is probably THE BASS PLAYER and one of the most charismatic performers in the world. As a current member of King Crimson and the Peter Gabriel Band he became well known over the past 30 years. But the list of artists he has cooperated with to this day reads like a WHO IS WHO of the music business: John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, Anderson Wakeman Bruford Howe, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Dire Straits, David Bowie, Steve Hackett, Sarah McLachlan only to name a few.

Tony Levin was one of the first bass players who made the Chapman Stick well known as a new instrument, which has a wide range of sounds. His 5th CD "Stick Man" which was recently released features the Chapman Stick in its entirety.

Accompanied by Pat Mastelotto (Drums) and Michael Bernier (Stick), Tony produced an album that is an album for musicians and real music lovers. The tunes on the Album are rockin´, groovin´ and never boring.

Pat Mastelotto is one of the worlds leading drummers and a member of King Crimson since the mid 90s. Michael Bernier has build up his name as one of the best Chapman Stick players and worked with Sonny Rollins and Nathalie Merchant in the past.3 years since his last European Tour, Tony, Pat and Michael hit the stages in Europe in may 2009 to serve the fans with an evening of extraordinary music and musicians. Probably some King Crimson and Peter Gabriel Songs will be part of the Setlist
