Celebrating that high school was out for summer with some cups of coffee and some chat. Suddenly Pocke proposed that all of us there who played an instrument should form a band. We all agreed and TK was born... To celebrate this 40th anniversary we are releasing a handnumbered limited edition (100 copies)single of 2 previously unreleased tracks from our archives. Konserten -73 and King Eric (1972). And the single is great! Great recording and music. You won't be disappointed!And from a personal mail (last month) : Have had alot rehearsals for the new album plus of course lots of workwith songwriting at home with Olle. This week Chris is inItaly on holiday so a bit more relaxed now.Plus....in less than two weeks on friday the 1st, me andJessie will move to a new bigger house. Message: Te latest from TK myspace: Hello dear friends.In the evening of Friday the 31st of October I gota terrible pain in my lower back, it also went down inmy left leg. Spent a sleepless night and then saturdaymorning off to the emergency clinic. Got the diagnosislumbago and precriptions for different medicines.Hard to put words on the pain really....just let me say thatit makes you really revalue what is important in life.One other immediate issue was that TK had a show bookedon Saturday the 7th on the Rock at Sea festivalcruise leavingfrom Stockholm. I was rather pessimistic about it that weekend,But....I slowly got better last week and last Friday decidied I wantedto have a go at it...So on Saturday afternoon I took a taxi to the ferry terminal and boardedthe ship with the other guys in TK....I felt very shaky during the soundcheckbut somehow the adrenalin came rushing during the show and I think wemanaged a very good gig...warm response from the audience and goodsound and spirit. Luckily for me this was a short gig...only one hour.Arrived back in Stockholm on Sunday..a taxi back home and straight to bed.Feel better from day to day now..so hopefully I am back in business soon!Otherwise TK finished 2nd in an online poll, "Best Swedish Progressive Rockband Ever".We were beaten with only one vote by our friends the Flower Kings. But silver is OK too.Thanks to all who voted for us.Except for a show in Göteborg, Sweden on the 28th of ¨March next year TK has noshows booked. Sorry for late reply but have been on holiday in Romania.We are happy with the nearfest gig though like you said therewere some people who could not get into us...we also had badslot playing second last at the festival before PFM.On top there were sound issues...basically the guitar now andthen out of the mix.But we got really positive feedback both after the gig and coming home.Will be interesting to watch the video...they had 7! cameras in HD. Message: No sign of a DVD yet but here's some more info on their upcoming gigs: Hello friends...It..s been some time since I last wrote here but things have been kind ofhectic lately. One of the main reasons is I have been renovating my bathroombelieve it or not..smiles...Have been without hotwater for a month almost.It really makes you think how spoiled we are nowadys taking somany things for granted.Anyway...The band have had a short break last months. Well almost...Ollehas been writing some lyrics for the next album which I am currentlylooking at. In April we will start to rehearse for our show at the Nearfest Festivalin Bethlehem, PA, US. We are really excited about this as it will be only oursecond show ever in the US. The first being the Progday Festival which we played in 2004.A great part of that show was also used for our livealbum "War Years" which was released last autumn.We will play Nearfest on sunday the 21st of June at 4.15 pm.We will also do our first ever German show at the Prockfest Festival on the 3rd ofOctober in Bielefeld.
