Topic: Pronunciation of Trettioåriga Kriget

Message: In Kriget the G is before a vowel. In Froberg it isn't.Same goes for the K in Kriget by the way. Why not pronounce it as "sj" like in KYRKA ? It's "sj" before a vowel and a proper K before a consonant. At least that makes the most sense to me :D

Topic: Pronunciation of Trettioåriga Kriget

Message: Ah, but why is the G in Kriget pronounced as a hard G, rather than the sort of Y sound heard in names like Fröberg?

Topic: Pronunciation of Trettioåriga Kriget

Message: The å is pronounced as "oa" a bit like the english word "awe".So basically it would be trettio-awe-ree-gha.Now,Kriget is simple.Something along the line of "kree-get".I apologize if I'm not making it clearer.English is not my mother tongue.Perhaps a real Swede can chime in here ;)
