Martin Barre a été le guitariste du groupe Jethro Tull depuis 1969. Il apparaît sur tous les albums du groupe à l'exception du premier. Martin Barre est reconnu comme l'un des guitaristes rock les plus accomplis. Son solo sur le standard Aqualung a été élu par les lecteurs du Guitar player magazine comme l'un des meilleurs solos de guitare rock de tous les temps.
