Re: Destined Solitaire

I hope the boys in the band are thick skinned enough to shake of the disappointment of the never materialised Prog Nation Tour 009. I'm looking forward to the new CD. Btw, Rikard when is your solo cd coming out?

Re: Destined Solitaire

The Gungfly album is due for release in about a month, sending it off to the pressing plant tomorrow!

About PN09 we are trying not to think about it all that much... We have to look forward to other things instead.

Re: Destined Solitaire

Hi guys!

Well, I'm a relatively new Beardfish fan. I LOVE Sleeping in Traffic: Part One and I just bought Part Two, waiting for it to arrive in my mail box.

I just wanted to say that I love your music and wish you all the best. And I'm really looking forward to hear the new album too. wink

Cheers,
João Piruças

Re: Destined Solitaire

I heard the album, it leaked a couple of days ago... forgive me for downloading your songs, i'm sorry.

After listening to all the new sounds for the very first time i find it a bit hard to dig it. I think i fell too much in love with the Sleeping In traffic albums and this one is different, the music of the previous albums is more catchy. Anyway, I need to listen to this new songs a few more times.

Thanks a lot for your music, Rikard. Hope you guys can come to Mexico someday.

Re: Destined Solitaire

>Hassanguason; Fine by me, as long as you buy it later wink - And YES, this album is trickier in every sense - it's a grower, which incidentally is my own personal favourite type of album!

Re: Destined Solitaire

Well now that someone has broken the downloading of the album water, let me be the first to say, sweet jesus it caves so many heads in.  Will probably end up being my favourite Beardfish album, which is really saying something cause I love Sleeping in Traffic part II with all my heart.  Fact is as much as I love pirate breakdowns and songs about being seduced by transexuals the lack of goofy shit on this album is probably a step in the right direction.  Rikard's vocals are so f*cking good, especially on the title track.  Speaking of which the growls made me shit bricks, more like Brutalfish amirite.  Fantastic album, obviously buying it as soon as it comes out.

Re: Destined Solitaire

Well I haven't downloaded it - but I like what people are saying.

Growers always have more staying-power for me so I'm sure I'll be listening to this one for years to come.

Re: Destined Solitaire

Indeed the Hiphop and the growling parts and some other bits will have to grow, but I dig most of the other stuff. There's plenty of typical Beardfish stuff, still you've definitely evolved from your last album. Good stuff!

Re: Destined Solitaire

I'm listening to Morow.com and lo and behold, a new Beardfish track: "The Stuff that Dreams are Made of".

Love the Gentle Giant influences. Also the guitar sometimes sounds like good old Roine(!).
The interplay is much tighter then on previous records. And the "Mellotron" is back! If this track is representative of the quality of the rest of the album, we're in for a treat!
Half way into the song now and gee wizz, it's Rondo in Bo Hansson style!!!

I could ofcourse download it, but hey, this one's on autobuy!

Thanks for the great music guys!

Re: Destined Solitaire

Have fun at Herzberg! It's not far from my place, but you'd be almost the only band that interests me. So I just wait for rPROCKfest.

And thanks for posting the songs! big_smile
