Suggestions for keyboarder?

I'm trying to get a live act together to play my stuff on stage, but my keyboarder seems at a loss when I ask him for really cool sounds. He plays a Korg workstation that he bought in the early 90s, as well as a Technics K2000 (that I bough in the early 90s as well), and he basically only uses the sounds that come on the actual keyboards, even though both are General MIDI compatible. Nor does he do any sequencing. Well, not that I'm insisting with him, but is there any easy way to get started doing some cooler stuff when playing live?

Re: Suggestions for keyboarder?

Hmmm....hard case...I believe it´s hard to  learn the old school soundprogramming if you´re not "in to it".
Of course, you need some basic skills and knowhow  when we´re talking about sounds. But there are some very good books about this subject. But after some fast hours of reading you can pretty easily tweak your way into cosmos! And it´s very awarding!!!!
