That comment really made me watch it.

Are there any tabs for the stuff you play or do you remember everything? I tried to figure out that harmonised part in The Downward Spiral/Chimay, but in the video you play it totally different.

Hey elTob, nah we don't have any tabs or such, I mean everything like that is written but we sort of remember it instead of penning it down so to say... Are you talking about the part that starts with acoustic guitar or the solo? The original melody starts with a G# and then there's a harmony under it that starts in E, I can tell you that much smile

Re: The Making of Sleeping In Traffic pt 2

Thanks for the reply!
I am talking about the acoustic part. I have been trying to figure it out, but I was playing it in another position on the fretboard. I hit the first note on the 9th fret of the b string, so G# sounds fine to me. E too. I am using the cheapest composing program there is to figure all that out.

Beware, I am going to do a cover of that part alone. wink

Re: The Making of Sleeping In Traffic pt 2

Hi Rikard,

as I listened to your »Sleeping in Traffic« albums, I would have bet that it's a real electro magnetic Hammond organ (such as a B-3) you're playing. Now I'm very astonished seeing in the »Making of...« videos another keyboard you're working with. So what's that thing giving that really convincing sound?

Finally I have to say that since the good old seventies never did any music catch my attention that much as your's does! Congrats!

Yours, Uwe

Re: The Making of Sleeping In Traffic pt 2

Well, on SIT part 1 I actually used my Hammond B3 and a 142 leslie. On part 2 though I had recently bought a Clavia nord C1 combo organ and I must say I love it!

Cheers - Rikard

Heh, I love these vids. Well, okay, not love. I find them interesting, to you playing and stuff, since I'm also a musician and play the same type of music.

I do love The Hunter and Into the Night though, two of my favourite songs ever! ^^

Hey, watch my videos, some are quite prog:ish: http://www.youtube.com/user/Freddie25

I take that to mean that No ass was smashed during the making of the new Beardfish album.
Still, looking forward to its release!

Re: The Making of Sleeping In Traffic pt 2

Asses were probably smashed, but sadly out of reach for the listening/recording microphone

Cheers - Rikard

Oh, and I'm looking forward to its release too, think it's gonna be a good one big_smile
