Souvent considère comme l un des guitaristes les plus originaux et innovateurs a avoir émerge sur la scène mondiale depuis plusieurs générations. Il est classe parmi les dix meilleurs guitaristes de blues britanniques de tous les temps (Guitar & Bass Magazine), le plaçant dans la constellation des noms emblématiques comme Eric Clapton et Peter Green !
