I just preordered the new Trettioariga Kriget CD "Efter efter". Part three of the "trilogy".
If you want an extra track on CDR as bonus, you should preorder here:
PREORDER NEW ALBUM
Preorder the new album "Efter efter" (After after). It will be housed in a beautiful digipack as always with Johan Gullbergs artwork. When you preorder you will as a bonus get a newly recorded track "Palinurius", on a CDR. This track will not be available anywhere else. Plus you will get the album signed by all members of TK. And not the least by preordering the album you support the band directly with no middlehands. "Efter efter" will the third and last album in the trilogy which started with "Elden av år" (Fire of years) 2004 and "I början och slutet" (In the beginning and the end) 2007. The album will be released middle of March 2011.
Price includes shipping anywhere in the world.
Spread the word!
Sounds like a good deal!
Here's part of an email I got from Stefan:
For being on safe side we postponed
the release to March. No problem with the recordings but I
know the printing of the cover always presents some problems...
There are not an underlying concept like on the last album..
More separate songs like on "Elden av år"...but of course they
are all held together by Olles lyrics....dealing as always
very much with the passing of time..this will be the last
of trilogy....if you look at the albumtitles they are all connected to
time....one track on the new album "Glorious war" actually tells the story when we formed the band.
Releasedate is not set yet...probably beginning april.
Depends of how fast Dag can mix the album.
I am really happy with the album anyway. Not a concept
like the last one but 8 separate tracks including two
Bring it on!
And this is the final artwork:
And some updated news:
Here is the final cover of the new album "Efter efter" (After after).
Releasedate will be 11th of April 2011.
We have now also booked the releaseparty which
will be at Södra Bar, Mosebacke Torg, Stockholm
on the 9th of May 19.00. We will not do a regular
show there, only a 30 minute set presenting the new
album. Entrance is free. Hope to see you there!!
Information coming soon on a regular TK show
in Stockholm coming autumn.
Hell, April now! Well, that's the risk of preordering I guess, makes the wait feel even longer!
This better be good dammit
The new album "Efter efter" will apart from the CD edition
also be available in a vinyl edition. This is the first time
since the 70s we release a new album in vinyl format!!
Since the original CD album will be 49 minutes long the vinyl will
lack a few tracks. More info coming soon.
Rather than removing tracks, maybe they could make it a double and add some bonus tracks
Some news regarding the new album:

For all of you who preordered the album

In the meantime here's a few samples from "Efter, efter":
Accidentally I discovered the very, very latest news regarding the new album. Only an hour ago Stefan posted this on the TK facebook page:
Just got the first copy of the new album in my hand!! Cover looks really great. Johan and David have done a good job. It´s an amazing feeling holding this finished album in your hand after 1,5 years work. very curious now how you the listeners will react to it.....good I hope...smiles...Peace Stefan
Hopefully our copies will ship in the next few days!
YES! My copy arrived today!
And I already listened to it twice. [fanboy mode]This is 24 karat Kriget! One of their best albums yet![/fanboy mode]
Mailed a review to Stefan. Here it is:
Great cover and perhaps even greater booklet! I will have to read the lyrics to understand it all Will do that later.
I listened to the album twice now and I have to say I'm impressed. I have to confess that Borjan och Slutet was a bit of a grower. Great music, but it didn't click immediately with me. This album does! Tavlan is an instant classic! I love it!
All songs seem to spring alive on the album with enthousiastic playing, great melodies, devoid of cliches.
Some of the comments, I read, on your previous album stated that it lacked "climaxes". That the songs, after a great start, "didn't go anywhere".
Well, Efter efter has some very fine songs with some real climaxes alright!
Some great guitar playing throughout the album. I think Christer has surpassed himself. Some genuine David Gilmour moments to be found. Really good.
I also love how the bass is more pronounced than on the previous album (or it's just how I experience it )
The whole album has a more symphonic feel to it, mainly because of the use of the more prominent keys, together with the omnipresent Mellotron!. Makes it a very coherent album altogether.
I have said earlier how I like the production on your albums, and here it's no different.
Top notch production which makes it sound very spacious, well balanced and alive.
One of your best albums, period! Congratulations!
Now, everyone. Grab yourself a copy and become immersed with TK's wonderful sounds....
