Eric Sardinas est un guitariste extrêmement précoce : il a commencé l’instrument dès l’âge de six ans. Bien que gaucher, il a appris à la manière des droitiers, ce qui, étonnamment n’a pas ralenti son apprentissage comme on aurait pu le croire. Cette particularité a d’ailleurs peut-être contribué à la création de son style et de sa technique guitaristique uniques.  Des influences musicales telles que le gospel, Motwon et R&B ont sans doute également guidé l’artiste vers sa sonorité aux accents de sud profond
